Open to the PublicPublic meetings are held every month on the second Tuesday except for December when we schedule a holiday party on a Saturday night. These monthly meetings are free and open to the public! In addition, the club is overseen by an elected Executive Council that meets on the first Tuesday of odd months beginning with January. (The AAC Board voted at its September 2009 Board meeting to meet only during odd months starting January 2010 rather than monthly as it had done in previous years.) Meeting agenda usually includes a short business and announcement session, a occasional five minute beginning astronomy talk, a short break, and a 45 minute talk on astronomy by a member or guest speaker. Quarterly Favorable Lunations Lunar Observers Group (LOG)
Beginning 2010, the LOG will meet roughly once per quarter with the ATM group meetings. Owing to the varied lunar features and types of observation emphasized at each session, there is no set schedule. More information.
