Map to Bob Jacobs' Observing Site

Hurricane Harbor
Planet with Largest
"Hurricane"?

We often hold star parties at Bob Jacobs' House ("Hurricane Harbor"), about three miles south of the city of Alachua and about eleven miles northwest of downtown Gainesville. Driving time from Gainesville is about twenty to thirty minutes. Although this site has some sky glow, it is a compromise between a dark site and being close to Gainesville.
